"what if you get today the things you gave thanks for yesterday?"- wise quote from my pastor.
I still remember that sermon, it stuck out to me the most. It was he day before thanksgiving.
When I heard that I thought "crap". What if that was the case?
If so, then I would have received:
My family, which I'm so, so blessed for by the way.
What wouldn't I get? Well lets see...
I wouldn't receive:
Friends, food, air, water, my job, shelter, school, clothes, my pets, my cell phone, shoes, makeup.. And that's only to name a few.
When my pastor said that quote, I felt selfish, God gives us so many things that we take for granted. We don't deserve half of what we get.
Hearing this made me realize how much I have to be thankful for. We can't take things for granted. God doesn't owe us anything. And we owe him everything. <3
