Just the other day I was hanging out with an old friend. We were having a normal conversation, and everything was going great. Then I noticed something, every time a person walked by, my friend had something to say about their appearance. And most of the time it was negative. "that girl should not dye her hair that color." "those shoes are so ugy on her!" at first I laughed about it, some of the things they said were kinda funny, but then I thought, why does everyone do this? Why do we care about people's appearances so much?
I was reading a magazine about a month ago and it was about a 7 day challenge. This girl went 7 days without wearing make-up or doing her hair. She said at first it was uncomfortable because she felt everyone was judging her. But then she said at the end of 7 days it was really fulfilling to walk around not caring who was judging her. She was still the same person, with or without make-up.
So really, why do we judge? Why does personal appearance mean so much to us? We are still the same beautiful people on the inside.
So I'm going to end this with a quote. "only God can judge me, I don't need a jury." -lil Wayne. (:
I always notice girls saying stuff like that and I always think, gosh I wonder what they're saying about me? Very cool quote too!
